Bodega Bay Farmers Market

Excited for the 2017 Season!

Kim and I feel we have a better understanding of our markets and growing the perfect compliments to the amazing bounty from other ranches, farms, and small scale food crafters here in Sonoma County.  We will have to introduce you to some of our favorites through out the season.

Meeting a few of these vendors at the Bodega Bay Farmers Market solidified our drive to “grow” in all aspects of our vision.  Everyone we met had stories about following their passions and offered great advise on sustaining the vision.  As freshmen farmers I was nervous about the farmers market and being the “new kid in school”.  It was a pleasant surprise to set up next to another freshman and receive encouraging advice from the seasoned pros.   But the main confirmation was the great response from customers to our produce – we sold out every time!  (and I took lots of notes on what they where asking for too!).  Everyone stopped by to check us out and chat!  I love that aspect of the market, people are relaxed and grateful for the bounty.  You really do make great connections with every interaction.  The open circular set up at the Bodega Bay market also helps!

Planning to visit

The market is located at 2255 Highway 1 in the town of Bodega Bay and held every Sunday from 10am to 3pm starting in May.  There’s live music, food trucks, activities for kids, and the atmosphere encourages shopping at the market for a picnic later in the day!  And don’t forget your canine companions, the market is dog friendly.

You can read more about the Bodega Bay Farmers Market from an article in the Sonoma West Times & News written last summer. And please plan on stopping by this summer!

Sign up for our updates and we’ll also let you know dates, times, and what’s harvest ready for the market.

Happy Spring from Kim and Dovanna.
